You have dual boot windows/ubuntu but you cant boot into ubuntu? think EasyBCD can help you do that. basically it will fix your boot menu., The other option is to edit grub itself for making it permanently appear you can open a terminal ( ctrl + alt + t ) and edit /etc/default/grub :
