A connection problem with 'outlook.com' has been resolved. Program crash after completion of backup:
- If a backup was initiated when displaying the 'Log' tab a program error could occur at the end of the backup. This has been resolved

XML definition rename now updates desktop shortcut links
- When renaming XML backup definition files in Reflect any associated desktop shortcut files are now also automatically updated to reflect the new file name

BUG FIXES:

VBScript execute tool bar button
- The tool bar button to execute a selected VBScript source file failed to launch the script. This has been resolved

Improved update of the 'mounteddevices' registry key when cloning
- A clone operation could fail to update the 'mounteddevices' registry key if the local registry hive was corrupt or incomplete. This has been resolved.

Pause button when downloading the installer and PE files:
- A pause button has been added to ReflectDL.exe when downloading the Installer and Windows PE rescue media files.

Rename XML Definition Feature:
- A new menu option has been added to rename existing XML backup definition files. Right click on the file and select 'Rename'. Note that this also automatically updates scheduled tasks and scripts that references the file as well.

Increased number of characters for the image comment field:
- The 256 character limit in the Image/Backup comment field has been removed.

Restore/Clone crash:
- In rare cases a clone or restore operation could crash after the end of the operation. Note: This didn't affect the integrity of the clone or restore. This has been resolved.

CSV export of backed up files:
- The CSV export of files backed up now correctly uses quoted strings.

Installer issue with paste:
- When pasting a license key into the installer and an existing key was already populated; this would cause the new key to be appended to the original. This has been resolved.

Explorer context menu bug:
- Using the Windows Explorer context menu to directly run a backup would fail if the file name contained white space. This has been resolved.

Restore error for file systems > 3.3TB:
- Restoring a file system greater than 3.3TB could cause a program error. This has been resolved and it's now possible to restore a single partition up to 30TB in size.

Incorrect log Message for File and Folder read failure:
- If a file and folder backup was unable to read/open a file then 'Error Success' was incorrectly written to the backup log. This has been resolved.

Comment decoding error in Windows Explorer:
- When viewing backup comments in Windows Explorer some XML escape characters were being shown as comment text. This has been resolved.

New options for handling NTFS reparse points:
- Reflect now contains the option to follow or backup the definitions of folder symbolic links and junction points.

Menu option in Windows PE environment to change keyboard layout:
- A new menu option is available in the Windows PE environment to change the keyboard layout in use. Additionally, keyboard recognition on boot has been improved.

BUG FIXES:

Server edition now writes Windows events to the classic application channel as well as the Macrium channel:
- A number of customers have requested that Macrium Reflect logs events to the classic application channel for parsing by third party log analysis software. This has been implemented.

Improved PE download integrity checking:
- Macrium Reflect now performs additional integrity checks on downloaded files when building PE Rescue Media.

Issue with approved shell extension:
- Customers have reported a rare conflict between specific group policy settings for approved shell extensions and the Macrium Reflect shell. This has been resolved.

Version 4.2 upgrade issues:
- Some customers have reported an error message when trying to install version 5.2 using a version 4.2 upgrade key. This has been resolved.

Program error when extracting Windows PE files:
- Some customers have reported a program error when burning rescue media. This has been resolved.

Windows PE screen resolution problem
- When booting a UEFI system with Windows PE 4.0 some systems could only display VGA (640 x 480) screen resolution. This has been resolved.

Bug check when unmounting images
- Some customers have experienced a system bug check when attempting to unmount backups in Windows Explorer. This has been resolved.

Error failed to open file when creating a disk image
- At the end of image file creation the .mrimg file isre-opened to append the image index to the file. Some customers have reported an error that the image file could not be opened and the backup has failed. This has been resolved.

What's new in this version:

NEW:

Images and backup files can now be mounted writable in Windows Explorer
- When mounting an image or file and folder backup in Windows Explorer, a new option 'Make Writable' will enable write access to the mounted file system. This enables files to be accessed without the need to first restore them if they are required to be writeable by opening application. For example, Microsoft Virtual Disk (.vhdx) files can now be access directly in a mounted image without the need to restore the file first.
- Please note that changes to the mounted file system are temporary and will be discarded when the image is unmounted.

BUG FIXES:

ImgToVHD conversion of images containing dynamic volumes
- The operation to convert an imade file containing dynamic volumes is now prevented. Previously this would cause an invalid VHD file to be created.

Partition display layout incorrect
- If a disk contained a partition of 1MB or less then this cold cause the layout in the Reflect GUI to show unpredictable partition offsets. This has been resolved.

Notepad could fail to launch when editing VBScript source files
- When editing VBScript source files on Windows Server the default editor 'Notepad' could fail to launch. This has been resolved.

Directory search could cause Reflect to hang
- When typing in a network (UNC) path into any folder entry fields Reflect could become unresponsive. This has been resolved.

What's new in this version:

NEW:

Drive selection for Windows PE component files
- An option is now available to choose/move the drive that contains the Windows PE boot/rescue CD files. Take 'Other tasks' > 'Defaults' > 'Advanced' > 'Macrium Reflect PE Files' to access this functionality. Please note that this option is not available for Windows XP or Server 2003.

BUG FIXES:

Explorer context menu issue
- Some customers have reported that the Macrium Reflect Explorer right click context menu could cause Explorer to crash. This was caused by a conflict with the NVidia Control Panel app context menu and has been resolved.

Technicians license portable edition issue
- The tech license edition version of Macrium reflect could fail to launch on x64 systems. This has been resolved.
