What's new in this version:

For convenience and reliability, we highly recommend that you apply this update directly from within Photoshop. To do so, choose Help > Updates in Photoshop CS5 and apply all of the updates listed under Adobe Photoshop CS5 in the Adobe Application Manager.

This update applies to all languages EXCEPT Middle Eastern, North African French and Greek.

The 12.0.4 update enables specially designed apps on tablets, smartphones, and PCs to communicate with and control interaction with Photoshop CS5 (Located in the Edit menu: Remote Connections). Now you can be creative on other devices and instantly incorporate what you create into Photoshop. You must install the 12.0.4 update to activate a remote connection between Photoshop CS5 and any apps that Adobe or third-party developers create to interact with Photoshop. For example, Photoshop CS5 must be updated to 12.0.4 to interact with three new iPad apps that Adobe has designed to work with it - Adobe Nav, Adobe Color Lava, and Adobe Eazel. These apps will be available in the future on the App Store.

The 12.0.4 update also fixes liquify performance, type related crashes, and other top customer issues. The most significant fixes include the following:
- A number of potential security vulnerabilities have been addressed.
- Liquify save mesh now works as expected.
- An issue with Sharpen crashing has been fixed.
- An issue with Quick Selection crashing has been fixed.
- The Orphea Studio File Info issue has been resolved.

The Adobe® Photoshop® CS4 11.0.2 update addresses a number of critical issues and vulnerabilities discovered after Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop CS4 Extended (11.0 and 11.0.1) software were released.

Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Photoshop CS4 11.0.1 and earlier for Windows and Macintosh that could allow an attacker who successfully exploits these vulnerabilities to take control of the affected system. A malicious .ASL, .ABR, or .GRD file must be opened in Photoshop CS4 by the user for an attacker to be able to exploit these vulnerabilities. Adobe recommends Photoshop CS4 customers update to Photoshop CS4 11.0.2, which resolves these issues.

The Photoshop 11.0.2 update also addresses a number of problems with brushes, styles and gradient preset files discovered after Photoshop CS4 was released.

Note: None of these issues affect Photoshop CS5.

The Adobe® Photoshop® 10.0.1 update addresses a number of issues discovered after Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended (10.0) software were released.

The most significant fixes in the Photoshop 10.0.1 update include the following:
- A crash that could occur when Microsoft Intellipoint software is installed has been fixed.
- The speed of moving objects contained within multiple layer sets has been improved.
- The speed of closing large documents has been improved.
- Converting images to CMYK using certain profiles no longer results in black files.
- A crash that could occur when saving a 4-bit BMP file with 16 or fewer colors has been fixed.
- The Save for Web feature now includes an option to "Include XMP" (metadata) in the settings menu within the main Save for Web interface, making the existing capability easier to access.
- When using Save For Web with "Include XMP" enabled, all XMP data is now included in the optimized file.
- A problem that could cause the incorrect printer to appear within the print dialog box has been corrected.
- Images no longer print with odd-sized margins on various Epson printers, or print smaller and off-centered.
- Printer settings in Windows® are saved with a document while that document is open. If a document has not had Page Setup settings applied to it, the document will get the previous page setup used during the current session of Photoshop.
- Photoshop now turns off Windows ICM (system color management) when "Photoshop Manages Colors."
- Print color matching has been improved.
- A problem that caused certain laser printers to show distortions when printing to a nonsquare resolution has been fixed.

- Menus now respond correctly after a single click.
- Undo/Redo work properly when multiple documents are open.
- Photoshop no longer produces a program error when encountering unsupported file types through the Acrobat Touchup workflow.
- Supported files that incorrectly produced an "unsupported color space" message now open as expected.
- TIFF files with layer data greater than 2GB now open correctly.

The most significant fixes in the 9.0.1 release (also included in the 9.0.2 update) include the following:
- Photoshop no longer hangs for several seconds when using painting tools with quick strokes.

What's new in this version:

Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 update to correct the problem that has been discovered after Photoshop 7.0 release.

The main problem to be fixed in the update to 7.0.1 is as follows.
- Opacity data of alpha channel that is included in the Targa file, you will be able to save as well as the previous version.
- If the color settings color management policy is set to "off", unless other editing work is added, will not confirm to save the changes.
- Ink total amount, as well as the previous version, will be 300% of the initial setting.
- White areas of the CMYK files saved in JPEG format will no longer shift.
- LZW compressed TIFF file will now be accurately described.
- And files that were created in Photoshop, it will not conflict with the automatic thumbnail generation of Microsoft Windows XP.

The most significant fixes in the 5.0.2 release include:
- The Type tool uses correct kerning values when auto-kerning text.
- A new anti-aliasing algorithm creates text that, at small sizes, more closely represents proper letter forms and spacing.
- Illustrator 8.0 files that include new features, such as art brushes and gradient meshes, which can be opened and rasterized correctly .
- DCS file output has been modified so that spot channels can print correctly from QuarkXPress.
