First of all your /dev/sdb isn't partitioned. I am assuming this is the disk you want to mount. WARNING: THIS WILL DESTROY ANY DATA ON YOUR TARGET ... ,Yes I finally did this (successfully, it seems so far) by editing fstab. I would have preferred if it had worked after I tried the intuitive method in the Disks utility.
